la hawla wala quwwata illa billah

“This expression is mentioned by a Muslim whenever seized by a calamity or in a situation beyond their control.”

There is neither change nor power except by means of Allâh.

There is no transformation or strength except through Allâh.

There is neither progress nor might except through Allâh.

Reminder that anything is possible by His will.

Like Imam Zaid Shakir said, “It is only disbelieving people that despair. It’s not Islamic to believe Allah will not help us and show His mercy.”

So don’t give up before you’ve even started Syaz.
